DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to construction on US 30 southwest of Marshalltown an old section of US 30 and its connections to new US 30 became Unsigned Iowa 976 in 1997.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 976, as described in the attachment, be added to the Primary Road System.

 

New Description - Unsigned Iowa 976 in Marshall County described as follows:

 

That portion of old US 30 and its connections beginning at the junction of relocated US 30 in Section 18-T83N-R18W easterly 1.414 kilometers (0.88 miles) through Sections 18 and 17 to approximately the N ¼ Corner of Section 17-T83N-R18W.

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number 89-TJ-007 and CA-678 between the Iowa Department of Transportation and Marshall County transferred Unsigned Iowa 976 to Marshall County on April 14, 1997.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that Unsigned Iowa 976 be deleted from the Primary Road System.
